Ep 94//How Proper Pregnancy Nutrition Helped This Mom Avoid Hyperemesis, PPD and Rock an 83 Hour Long Labor with Taryn
Morning sickness got you down? Have you heard of hyperemesis Gravidarum or HG? Are you terrified of having a long labor and you’re not sure if you’d be able to handle it or not…? Could you imagine having an 83 hour labor??
Today my guest Taryn comes on show and shares her experience of a radical change in her life that lead to a more comfortable pregnancy after experiencing HG with her first two and how she was able to have the strength and the mindset to power through an 83 hour long homebirth!
Taryn is a holistic nutritionist and women’s reproductive wellness practitioner! After her first was born, she knew she wanted to do something working with mothers which started her journey! She initially got her doula certification, then took classes for lactation but it never felt quite right. She turned her whole life around by adjusting their nutrition and that was something that finally felt right.

To be honest here, Taryn and I grew up together and we were very close in our teenage years due to the fact that we similar upbringing’s and health issues. So listening to her experience with her first two had me nervous as I would not be surprised if that’s how my experience goes, but to know she found a way to combat most of the negatives surrounding birth, brings comfort to me. Overall, this podcast was amazing to listen to and I would definitely recommend it to new mommas or mommas to be!

This podcast is such an amazing source of non-biased and educated information. As an RN who works in critical care, I don’t have much experience in the world of labor and delivery, so to hear these two women discuss the positives of both in home and out of home birthing experiences is enlightening. My husband and I are starting to try for our first baby, which is a thrilling and nerve wracking experience because o have no idea how my body will react. Pt 1🥴
